About the logo image

This image is based on William Blake's watercolor etching "The Ancient of Days" (1794), representing God as architect, creating the universe using tools of geometry (a compass).

I modified the image extensively (a.k.a. "remixing") to enhance the contrast between the Creator figure and the background, and changed the color scheme. I also added the Meritology logo, which represents three perspectives on "value" -- lit in yellow, green, and purple "lights". "Value" is represented by the letter "v", assembled into an "impossible" 3D figure. This symbolizes the complex underlying relationship between these differing perspectives and the need to move beyond simplistic models.
